Hello I am Dusty Otero the inventor of the Smarty Belt Dog Leash.I have two sizes of my Hands free,The wider belt with two D rings on both sides is for the medium to large dogs.(TO 120 LBS.The one you see me wearing is for our smaller Doggies I call them,anywhere from 4 LBS. TO 20 LBS.I sell more of the smaller Hands Free Leashes,why I think is that lots of people are so used to holding the leash that its weird to have it around your waist.I see too that if you have a big Dog tied to your waist you could get hurt.I started out with the big dog leash and than thought of having one for our smaller pets.I never had any problem with my healer and Chihuahua pulling me.I trained them well,and you need to also please dont get hurt.
But if you have the right dog,like me the small Chihuahua there is nothing better than being able to let go of the leash when you need too.I hold the leash 99% of the time,,you just dont walk around "Hands free"kinda of like a safety chain on a boat trailer.What if the trailer came of the hitch?Get my point.The Safety chain will stop the trailer from crashing.
